UNC Students, Senate Hopeful Bowles Are Really Not That Similar After All

In regards to Dan Harrison's column, I never knew Bowles was so much like your average UNC student that "we could probably double for him." The last time I checked, neither I, nor my fellow students were 57-year-old millionaires.

Harrison also implies that Bowles will help the elderly pay for medications. Funny how as a New York corporate executive Bowles and his partners lost over $120 million in peoples' retirement pensions, which would go a long way to pay for medications. Bowles and his firm are now being sued for mismanaging workers' retirement.

Apparently one of the most endearing Tar Heels in history, Dean Smith, supports Bowles. I like Smith as much as anyone, as a basketball coach. Perhaps if Smith supported Elizabeth Dole, Harrison would implore us to vote for her?
