As a member of the "graying" staff and an avid Tar Heel fan for over 40 years, I can assure the officials that my decision not to purchase season basketball tickets this year had nothing to do with the color of my hair or "last year's disappointing season." The $88 increase in the cost of two season tickets coupled with no raise, once again, for state employees caused basketball tickets to drop as a priority item in my budget.
By the time you add in transportation ($10 for two people), you're already close to $65 a game and you don't even have popcorn yet! I'll be pulling hard for the Tar Heels from the couch in my living room this year.
