Is UNC-Chapel Hill another Enron? It would certainly seem so with the way Chancellor (James) Moeser makes decisions around here.
The chancellor believes he is justified with his decision to pay (University legal counsel) Susan Ehringhaus $188,000 a year for the next two years.
But he has provided no justification for this action other than the need to reward Ehringhaus for her years of service to this University.
Board of Trustees Chairman Tim Burnett was quoted as saying, "All the facts don't make it into the news stories" (The Daily Tar Heel, Nov. 22, 2002)
I invite Mr. Burnett to reveal those facts to us now.
We are entitled to them as taxpayers in North Carolina.
Stop hiding the truth like the executives at Enron did.
