TO THE EDITOR:
While I agree that Felix Lurye's commentary was politically incorrect, he was sadly accurate. What he said about mainstream Islam in Middle East countries is true. They do hate Americans, Christians and Jews. None of the Islamic countries have done anything on their own to fight terrorism.
I also respect the individual Muslims that do not want to be a part of this overall problem. I realize this must be very hard on them. But we cannot deny the importance or reality of the situation.
The terrorists really are young, Muslim and from the Middle East, and they really do need to be screened in the interest of national security. This protects not only Americans in general but also the Muslims living here in peace.
