Chapel Hill Transit has made the following changes to its route schedule:
The HU route, (Friday Center, Fetzer Gymnasium, UNC Hospitals) will begin service 30 minutes earlier on weekdays, at 5:30 a.m. The F Route (Colony Woods, University Mall, Weaver Street Market) will offer an additional stop serving McDougle Middle School at 3:14 p.m.
The NU route (PR Lot, UNC campus) will run nonexpress service in the evenings after 7 p.m. and on weekends, serving more stops on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
The V Route (Southern Village, UNC campus, Friday Center) will use a different route in Southern Village, entering on Main Street, traveling west on Market Street and no longer serving Arlen Park Drive. It also will expand service in Meadowmont to include Rashkis Elementary School and in the Family Practice lot for the new married student housing complex.
The N Route (Northside neighborhood, UNC campus, Mason Farm Road) Leaving Family Practice the N Route will no longer turn left on west ramp and serve Mason Farm Road. The route will serve UNC Medical Center and then will proceed to Columbia Street.
Full service begins today.
