The Carolina Union Activities Board will host an open house from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today in Union 3109.

 

The Campus Y will hold an interest fair from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today in the Pit.

 

Carolina Style will hold ballet auditions from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today in the upper women's gym. Jazz auditions will be held from 10 p.m. to midnight Wednesday in the Student Recreation Center, room B.

 

The Advertising Club will hold an interest meeting at 6:30 p.m. today in Carroll 143. Free pizza will be provided.

 

The Carolina Association of Black Journalists will hold its first meeting of the year at 6:30 p.m. today in Carroll 11. Members will discuss plans for the upcoming year and ways the organization can help with hurricane relief efforts. Anyone interested in joining the group is invited to attend. Go Geek!, a co-ed national honors fraternity, will hold interest meetings at 6:30 p.m. today and Wednesday in Murphey 118.

 

The Campus Y Social Justice Entrepreneurship Incubator's kick off event will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today in the Johnston Center in Graham Memorial, room 11. It will feature a panel of N.C.-based entrepreneurs.

 

The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender-Straight Alliance will hold an interest meeting for Lambda, the nation's oldest such student-run magazine, at 7 p.m. today in Union 3105.

 

The UNC Dance Marathon now is accepting applications for committee members. Applications are due by 3 p.m. Friday. Go to www.uncmarathon.org to download the form and to learn more about the annual event.

 

The Loreleis, an all-female a cappella group, are holding their second day of auditions today. Sign up in the Pit or at the magazine rack in the Student Union. Callbacks will be held Wednesday.

The Orange County Board of Commissioners and the county's Human Services Advisory Commission are holding a forum on plans to end homelessness from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the United Church of Chapel Hill, 1321 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. There is a $12.50 registration fee.
