  • Two larcenies were reported Monday afternoon at University Mall, 201 S. Estes Drive, Chapel Hill Police reports state. A 19-year-old female reported at noon that her purse was stolen. Police valued the pilfered item at $518, according to reports. At 1:51 p.m., a UNC sophomore also reported that his camera was stolen from the location, reports state. The camera and memory card were valued at $250, according to reports.
  • Chapel Hill police are investigating a vandalism incident that was reported Monday afternoon at 179 E. Franklin St., according to reports. A large amount of gang graffiti was found at the town's teen recreation center, reports state. There was $1,000 worth of damage, according to reports.
  • A UNC instructor discovered vandalism in the Hanes Art Center on Monday, according to University police reports. The instructor found graffiti written on the walls of the building, reports state. The graffiti was neither derogatory nor threatening, reports state.
