  • A suspicious doll was found on a couch at 10:28 p.m. Wednesday at a 5639 Old Chapel Hill Road apartment, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone attempted to gain entry in Los Potrillos restaurant by pushing in the window air-conditioning unit at 4 a.m. Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the air conditioning unit at 220 W. Rosemary St. is estimated at $400, according to reports.
  • ?An incident of vandalism and willful damage to property was reported at 11:40 a.m Wednesday at 303 Englewood Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state the car window of a 2002 black Lexus was shot at, possibly by a BB gun. Damage of $300 to the windshield was reported.
  • ?Someone stole a laptop, calculator and backpack, together valued at $2,445, from a room at the Chi Phi fraternity house, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The larceny was reported at 4:14 p.m. Wednesday at the 300 S. Columbia St. residence, reports state.
