  • Someone pushed a cart full of Budweiser beer and food out of a Food Lion without paying Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Twelve cases of beer, valued at $192, and food, valued at $100, was stolen at 1:39 p.m. at the 1720 N. Fordham Blvd. Food Lion but later was recovered by police, according to reports.
  • A UNC Hospitals employee was charged with driving while intoxicated, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Bryan Ray Christian, 29, of 605 Jones Ferry Road in Carrboro, was stopped at 400 W. Franklin St. after he drove onto the curb on two occasions, reports state. He blew a 0.20 on the Intoxilyzer and was confined to the Orange County Jail at 4:30 a.m. Monday. Reports state he was to be released on written promise to appear in court April 1 when he became sober.
  • Eggs were reportedly thrown at a Sir Richard Lane house at 11:21 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Police responded to an argument concerning the excessive use of a washing machine at 5:39 p.m. Sunday at 323 Brooks St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
