  • Two people were arrested after police responded to an incident of assault with a deadly weapon at 2:46 p.m. Sunday at 414 Whitaker St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. Kecia Denise Roberson, 35, of 601 Bynum Court, was arrested for felony assault inflicting bodily injury. She was armed with a knife, reports state. Willie Glenn Stephens, 59, of Pittsboro, was charged with felony assault by strangulation, reports state. Police believe Roberson stabbed Stephens after he choked her during a fight, reports state. Minor injuries were reported. Both were released in lieu of $5,000 bail and are expected in court today, according to reports.
  • ?A UNC sophomore was assaulted with a knife at 126 W. Franklin St. on Saturday morning, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The 19-year-old suffered minor injuries at about 3 a.m. and the incident was reported shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday, reports state. n?A suspicious vehicle led to a police pursuit and a traffic crash just after 11 p.m. Sunday at 117 Old Durham Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. A stolen 2008 Nissan Altima, valued at $14,000, was recovered after the crash and impounded by police, reports state. Two mailboxes and mailbox posts were reported damaged.
  • Police responded to a drug complaint and found a handgun at 3:14 p.m. Saturday at 750 S. Merritt Mill Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Police found a High Point model handgun at the location that houses Phoenix Academy and the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools administrative building, reports state.
  • A Greensboro man was arrested Sunday for failure to appear on arrest orders from Greensboro and Guilford County authorities, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Christopher Duwyanne Davis, 21, was confined at Orange County Jail in lieu of $17,000 bail, reports state.
