Four arrested for Chapel Hill and Durham robberies

WEDNES." OCT. 1 4:40 p.m." Last updated 6:15 p.m. -- Police have arrested suspects who robbed at gunpoint at least four people in Durham and Chapel Hill late Tuesday.

 

Dominique Cuthbertson"18 was armed with a pistol when he approached a driver for Cluck-U chicken outside Avery Dormitory Hall and demanded the driver's wallet" according to UNC police reports.

 

The incident occurred at about 1:00 a.m." after Cuthbertson and two other men James Todd Week22 and Paul Martin Petway21 allegedly used a shot gun and pistol to rob a Chapel Hill man near his apartment on Pinegate Circle" Chapel Hill Police Spokesman Lt. Kevin Gunter said.

 

Durham police arrested the suspects driving a red 2005 Nissan Altima just off Garrett Road in Durham along with another man" Jerry Stephens II" 21. 

 

All four men are charged with two similar robberies that occurred earlier in the night"" according to Durham police.

 

The car had some of the stolen items inside when police stopped it"" Gunter said.
