Three field hockey players named to All-America teams
Three North Carolina field hockey players have capped the 2008 season with All-America honors. Senior Britt van Beek junior Illse Davids and sophomore Katelyn Falgowski all were named to the All-America second team.
The All-America honor is the first for van Beek and Davids and the second for Falgowski who was named to the second team in 2007. All three were named to the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference team and to the All-South Region first team.
The Tar Heels finished the 2008 campaign 14-6 falling to Michigan State 3-2 in an NCAA Tournament first-round game Nov. 15.
