Williams is blamable for Saturday's Maryland loss

TO THE EDITOR:

I am and always will be a huge fan of men's basketball coach Roy Williams but the Maryland loss falls right on his shoulders.

Our defensive scheme is nonexistent when it comes to guarding the three-point line and (Saturday) Maryland made us pay.

But even above that" refusing to use time-outs to stop an opposition's momentum is inexcusable. We had a tie game with 9.2 seconds left and did not call a set play for a shot or to draw a foul.

Our fantastic team was let down tonight by the coaching staff. I hope this loss will ""wake up"" our coaches before we face another Kansas nightmare where we allow our team to fall behind but ""hold on to those precious time outs.""

Please. Wake up and coach the team.
