Carolina Review not racist; rather" advances dialogue

TO THE EDITOR:

The term ""racism"" is a vastly overused one. The Carolina Review does not" I assure you believe that black people are inferior to whites. What the current issue is meant to do is provoke discussion regarding the issue of race" only we turn it around on its proverbial head.

If Arielle Reid (DTH letter to the editor ""Carolina Review's February issue is offensive garbage"" March 16) thinks the Carolina Review is racist, I wonder what her views regarding the Black Student Movement organization is as its mission is to achieve black ideals"" (as opposed to what?). FYI" the BSM received about five times as much student fees as the Carolina Review last year.

For a productive discussion about racism I recommend people visit the Carolina Review blog www.crdaily.com; the blog is updated daily and anyone can post their thoughts. And don't take my word for it pick up a copy of the Carolina Review magazine in the Union" the UL and in Davis library.
