Jones welcomes applicants for student government

TO THE EDITOR:

The Jones administration wants to be inclusive of all types of students in order to reflect the student body. Student government has served this university since the early 20th century gaining increased influence as the years went by. We want to strive to serve the student body to our full capacity by having a great number of students come out to be a part of the organization.

Students are aware of the purpose that student government serves but now it is time for them to be a part of it. We think that it is imperative for students to become active in shaping their Carolina experience because it not only affects their lives but also the lives of future Tar Heels.

We are looking for students to apply to be leaders in our cabinet positions available for 2009-10. To apply go to unc.edu/studgov.
