North Carolina (4-2, 0-2) answered questions about its offensive struggles, at least for a week.

Ryan Houston and Shaun Draughn combined for more than 130 yards and four touchdowns to lead the offensive effort in UNC's 42-12 win against Georgia Southern (3-3).

North Carolina had only scored 10 points combined in its previous two games against Georgia Tech and Virginia.

Defensively, the Tar Heels forced six turnovers, two of which they immediately turned into touchdowns. Bruce Carter returned an interception for a score, and Quan Sturdivant did the same with a fumble.

The six turnovers UNC recorded were the most the Tar Heels have forced in a single game since 1999 against Duke.
