Kildare’s, an Irish pub that has several locations along the East Coast, will open Friday, owner Dave Magrogan said.
The pub serves from a menu that includes a section titled “Irish originals.”
“(Chapel Hill) is very similar to where our first Kildare’s was opened in West Chester,” Magrogan said.
All staff members go through an intense four-week training process when they are taught all there is to know about Irish pub life and culture.
Magrogan said construction costs were more than planned, especially since it is an older building at 206 West Franklin St. At one point, the pub’s water main on Franklin Street collapsed, adding a significant cost to the project.
