UNC drops second straight

Georgia Tech upsets Tar Heels at home

A 19-point second-half deficit proved to be too much for No. 12 North Carolina to overcome against No. 20 Georgia Tech.

Though Tar Heels did catch all the way up to the Yellow Jackets - and even notched a two-point lead in the game's final minutes - a key runner by Zach Peacock doomed UNC (12-6, 1-2 ACC) to its second straight conference loss 73-71.

Iman Shumpert lead the way for Georgia Tech (13-4, 2-2 ACC) with 30 points, while junior Will Graves had his best game as a Tar Heel in scoring 24 points.
