UPDATE: Runaway 14-year-old missing

Police have seen no evidence of foul play

Rosa Morrow
Rosa Morrow, 14, has been missing from her home in Chapel Hill since about 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The whereabouts of a 14-year-old girl who went missing 10:30 p.m. Friday are still unknown, according to a Chapel Hill Police Department press release.

Her parents notified police of her disappearance Monday, said police spokesman Kevin Gunter.

Rosa Morrow was last seen at her residence on Bynum Street. She left to meet friends on Franklin Street with a 1 a.m. curfew and did not return. Rosa is known to frequent the Durham area where she has friends.

“Until we receive more information, we’re assuming this is a runaway,” Gunter said. “We haven’t received any information to lead us to believe it’s foul play.”

Rosa’s disappearance comes after a similar incident where she ran away at the beginning of October. Police currently do not have any leads to her whereabouts, Gunter said.

Rosa is 5’9” and about 165 pounds, he said.

The department asks anyone who has information concerning Rosa’s whereabouts to call them at (919) 968-2760.
