TO THE EDITOR:
Jenny Levering should be met with praise and support for her dedication to the Greek system at this University and the tremendous impact she has had on the student leaders who have had the privilege of working with her during her time here. The allegations that the staff of the DTH continues to publicize at the personal expense of a University administrator are a perfect example of the DTH’s desire to stir controversy rather than to focus on being responsible journalists.
In my four years as a member of the Greek community, Jenny has diligently worked with my chapter and others to see our community prosper and to rid our organizations of harmful activities such as hazing and mismanaged parties.
Any hostile relationships that Jenny has developed have not been due to her own will but have largely been due to flaws in the organizational structure of the judicial programs in the Greek councils, which have placed her in the contradictory position of one to both promote and police Greek chapters. I have felt truly blessed to call Jenny a friend.
