First home win
Thumbs Up

Okay, so we know some of you aren’t too happy with our coverage of football lately. But a serious thumbs up to the football team for handing it to ECU. Pirates fans looked lost at sea Saturday evening.

Sorority violations
Thumbs Up

N.C. incumbents
Neutral Thumb

North Carolina political incumbents are defying a national trend. That is, they will likely hold on to their jobs come November. Good? Bad? Depends on who you want to vote for.

Thumbs Up

Thumbs Down

State Rep. Larry Brown sent an e-mail to his Republican colleagues calling gays “queers” and “fruitloops.” Unfortunately, he’s running for re-election unopposed. Even Sarah Palin wouldn’t make such a gaffe.

‘The Hill’
Thumbs Down
