The Water Institute at UNC has been granted $1.5 million by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation. The grant will be used to improve strategies for making clean water accessible to disadvantaged people.
The two organizations will work to develop internal monitoring systems that measure the performance of special projects intended to improve water conditions in impoverished areas.
The Conrad N. Hilton Foundation was created in 1944 with the objective of helping people in need throughout the world.
