Paul Frampton, the UNC professor who has been in prison in Argentina for more than seven months, has been released and put under house arrest for health reasons.
He is staying in the home of a friend in Buenos Aires while he awaits trial.
Frampton was accused in the spring of trying to smuggle 2 kilograms of cocaine onto an airplane.
