Seven students were awarded UNC Class of 1938 travel fellowships, which will provide money for them to do research abroad this summer.
The students — Etiti Akhame-Ayeni, Portia Polk, Matthew Leming, Madison Morgan, Leonora Tisdale, Casey Crow and Kieran Fell — were chosen from 42 applicants based on the quality of their proposals, as well as the financial request and seriousness of academic purpose.
Each student will receive $5,000.
