The NCAA will reopen their 2011 investigation into academic irregularities at UNC, according to a statement released on Monday by UNC's athletic director Bubba Cunningham.
Cunningham's statement said the NCAA has found additional people may want to share information with the investigative team, including people who were uncooperative with the NCAA in the past.
The NCAA also released a statement on Monday confirming they will reopen the investigation.
The NCAA first opened an investigation at UNC in June 2010 after former UNC football player Marvin Austin tweeted, "I live In club LIV so I get the tenant rate ... bottles comin like its a giveaway.”
