NCAA gives UNC third Notice of Allegations

UNC has received the third notice of allegations from the NCAA, UNC spokesperson Rick White said. The documents will be released on the Carolina Commitment website at some point in the future.

The amended NOA comes after UNC met with the Committee on Infractions on Oct. 28 to discuss whether the NCAA acted outside of its jurisdiction with its allegations of academic improprieties, which it sent to UNC in an amended NOA on April 25. UNC rebutted those claims in an Aug. 1 response, but the NCAA rejected UNC's response to the first ANOA on Oct 25.

At practice Wednesday, football coach Larry Fedora said he was aware of the new NOA but couldn't say much more.

"This thing's been going since I was here, you know, five years ago, so for me, it's just — get it done some time, you know?" he said.

The NCAA's second NOA, in April, did not mention football or men's basketball.
