It’s UNC-Duke week, what more needs to be said?

On this week’s edition of Press Coverage, Fleet Wilson and Mark Burnett chat with C.L. Brown, senior college basketball writer for the Athletic magazine, in preparation for Wednesday’s heavyweight matchup between two top-10 programs.

Brown speaks on the difference in hype surrounding each team, with UNC maintaining a relatively low profile in comparison to the Zion Williamson-led Duke team.

“This year in particular will be interesting because this is the ‘superteam’ at Duke,” Brown said regarding their star-studded starting five. “This is Beyonce, this is Justin Bieber at his peak, this is all of that stuff rolled into one.”

Brown discusses what the No. 8 Tar Heels needs to do to leave Cameron Indoor Stadium with a victory over the No. 1 Blue Devils, placing emphasis on how each team’s first-years will respond to the pressure of such a historic rivalry game.

“You can easily hyperventilate in the first five minutes just because of the buildup and the excitement,” Brown said. “This will be different than anything they’ve played in.”

With the first-year stars as the centerpiece, the crew discusses who will play the most important role for each team along with who will come away victorious, and how it will impact the regular season title race in the ACC.
