Tomato, Yellow and Ocean Blue

Several times a year, designers spend hundreds of hours carefully selecting the next season’s trends — including color palettes. I researched every major runway show for Fall 2011 and found three must-have colors for fall.

Tomato

Nails, purses, pants — I do not go a day without seeing this bright mix of orange and red.

Tomato looks amazing in single clothing pieces because it flatters pretty much all skin tones.

— Try pairing it with golds, beige and navy for an exciting new look.

Yellow

Previously, our hues of yellow ranged from sunshine to daisy. Welcome to fall 2011, where we will squirt a little bit of mustard into our closets.

— For your best look, try pairing yellow with shades of gray or chartreuse with shades of army green.

International Klein Blue

This eccentric shade was created by French artist Ives Klein. With an ultramarine feel and eye-popping hues, International Klein Blue will brighten any fall day.

— Try pairing it with black, white and, of course, other shades of blue.
