Chapel Hill native Josh Horton is proudly back at Carolina finish his degree in communications. While at Carolina, he played shortstop until he signed up for the draft in 2007 and played in the minor leagues for seven years. Horton is currently assistant coach for the team as he completes his degree.

UNC students of the Department of Music practice for the upcoming Carolina Jazz Festival in conjunction with Jazz Week at Carolina, February 19th through the 23rd. The student ensemble is conducted by James Ketch, the Director of Jazz Studies and trumpet instructor at the university.
Leaving the Table, an exhibition of new woodwork by Bill Neville, is on display at the Ackland Museum Store from Feb. 14 until March 30. This Chapel Hill artist's exhibit includes four newly crafted tables, a series of mirrors and many turned vessels in a variety of woods. Leaving the Table also includes a large photo montage chronicling Bill Neville's career.
