The UNC Women’s Basketball team defeated Carson-Newman 111-50 in the first exhibition game of the 2013-14 season. The N.C. NAACP held a rally in each of the state’s 13 congressional districts on Wednesday. The rallies protested recent laws passed by the N.C. General Assembly. They coincided with and commemorated the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.‘s March on Washington. UNC’s class of 2017 was welcomed with open arms last night at Fall Fest 2013 — a campus-wide event where students get to choose from over 200 student organizations.
