Solar panels were installed on the grounds of Carrboro High School this August. Current seniors Holly Gallagher and Jocelyn Buckley led the project with help from Dan Schnitzer, the sustainability coordinator for local school systems, after being inspired by their AP Environmental Science class last school year. The panel generates clean energy for the school on a sunny Thursday afternoon, Sept. 17.
