The No. 2 North Carolina baseball team took one win out of a three-game series with No. 20 Florida State over the weekend. Friday FSU got a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to earn a 3-2 win. UNC scored 12 consecutive runs en route to a 12-7 win on Saturday.

Sports briefs for April 6

Baseball - Dustin Ackley hit two homers on top of four runs as No. 5 North Carolina beat No. 3 Georgia Tech 13-10 in the series finale Sunday in Atlanta. The Tar Heels (24-7 9-5 ACC) took two of three on the weekend with pitcher Alex White allowing two runs in eight innings on Friday — a 4-2 UNC victory.
