Police log for March 6, 2015

• Someone reported a noise complaint on the 100 block of Glade Street at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person said the noise of children getting ready for school was too loud, the report states.

Someone stole foods from the Food Lion at 1720 Fordham Blvd. between 2:05 p.m. and 2:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person stole a salad valued at $3.45 and food stuffs valued at $12.44, reports state.

• Someone reported a suspicious person on the 700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at 3:01 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The person was going door to door, looking for a lost dog and asking multiple residents to call 911.

Someone reported a stolen iPhone from the Verizon Wireless store at 201 S. Estes Drive at 7:58 p.m. Wednesday.

The phone was valued at $860, the report states.

• Someone reported a suspicious person at a bus stop on the 100 block of BPW Club Road at 6:48 p.m. Wednesday, according to Carrboro police reports.

• Someone reported damaged property on the 100 block of Turnberry Lane at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The engine compartment of the person’s vehicle caught fire, causing $200 in damage, the report states.

• Someone stole from UNC’s Lenoir Dining Hall at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, according to DPS reports.
