• Someone reported a simple assault the 200 block Old Fayetteville Road at 12:29 a.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person was arrested and taken to the Orange County Jail, reports state.

• Someone caused injury to personal property at 100 block of Marlowe Court between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person moved another person’s vehicle and damaged the vehicle in the process, reports state.

• Someone reported identity theft at the 200 block of Cobblestone Drive at 10:39 a.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The identity theft involved the filing of a false tax return, reports state.

• Someone reported the larceny of a wallet at the 200 block of Barnes Street at 12:45 p.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

The person said his wallet was stolen from his hands when he gave a driver money for gas, reports state.

• Someone reported a shoplifting attempt at a Dollar General located at 104 N.C. 54 at 5:21 p.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

Someone concealed food and clothing items in bags with the intention of stealing them, reports state.

• Someone reported a suspicious person at the 200 block of Davie Road at 6:48 p.m. Monday, according to Carrboro police reports.

A person was standing on the street corner making phone calls, being picked up by different vehicles and being returned shortly thereafter, reports state.
