Review: Beyoncé did that

She did it again.

A day before her long awaited and anticipated Super Bowl performance, Beyoncé released her new song titled “Formation” with a music video to follow. Unapologetically managing to surprise her fans, peers and haters.

Beyoncé effortlessly took cultural appreciation and feminism to the next level with this release, making it a media sensation in a matter of minutes.

With the insane number of quotable lyrics and moments, “Formation” makes for one of her most amazing debuts yet.

During the video, Beyoncé takes us through the journey of Black oppression in various scenes. As well as the allusion to the possibilities of excellence even as an oppressed society.

The choreography in the video speaks for itself with its powerful message of Black appreciation and unity, as Beyoncé sings “OK ladies now let’s get in formation.”

While tackling such deep rooted issues Beyoncé simultaneously manages to even include her own daughter, Blue Ivy, in the music video as a means of representation.

With the power in the video and the lyrics to match, all we can do is sit back and wait and see what creatively shocking thing Beyoncé does next.

My top seven most quotable lyrics:

 1. “I just might be a black Bill Gates in the making”
 2. “Y’all haters corny with that illuminati mess”
 3. “I got hot sauce in my bag, swag”
 4. “The best revenge is your paper”
 5. “OK ladies now let’s get in formation”
 6. “I might take him on a ride in my chopper”
 7. “I might get your song played on the radio station
