Developing: Reggie Bullock's NBA decision

UPDATE: North Carolina released a statement announcing that junior guard Reggie Bullock will enter the NBA draft. The release confirms what was already assumed for the past two days after Adrian Wojnarowski said that his sources indicated that Bullock would be leaving for the NBA draft.

“It’s been a great experience at Carolina and after talking to my family, the coaches and my inner circle of friends, I am ready to take the next step in my career,” Bullock said in a statement. “I want to play at the next level and will put my name in the NBA Draft this year. I want to thank all of my coaches, teammates and the Carolina fans for their support these past three years. We did some great things that have prepared me to play in the NBA. I know the Tar Heels will have a great year next season.”

Reports surfaced Monday morning that Bullock would be forgoing his senior season and entering the NBA draft. Though no official announcement has been made, speculation has been swirling that he will indeed enter the NBA draft with an announcement coming later today. Here’s a Storify of his decision as it has been unfolding on Twitter. We’ll keep you updated throughout the day as news develops.

Bullock averaged 13.9 points and 6.5 rebounds per game starting out of the small forward position for the Tar Heels this season.

Fellow guard P.J. Hairston announced last week that he would stay in school for his junior season while no announcement has been made about the future of big man James Michael McAdoo.
