After defeating Virginia Tech 14-6 in Blacksburg, Va., the No. 2 North Carolina women’s lacrosse team travelled to South Bend, Ind. to face off against No. 13 Notre Dame. The Tar Heels came away with a 16-9 win to extend their winning streak to eight games.

Both the North Carolina men’s and women’s lacrosse teams played three games over Spring Break. Neither took much of a road trip, as all six games over the last two weeks were in Chapel Hill. However, the men’s and women’s teams had varying levels of success against their opponents.

On paper, it seems the top-ranked North Carolina women’s lacrosse team can be just as talented as the group of Tar Heels who became national champions last season.
