Everyone looks forward to the week of the UNC-Duke basketball game, a.k.a rivalry week. One of the best parts? The banner outside Sup Dogs perfectly illustrating UNC’s hatred for Duke. The banner originally started out as “Honk if you hate Dook” with Coach K’s face as one of the O’s in the word “Dook.”
In spite of our unapologetic hatred for royal blue, the various curse words that we use to preface the articulation of the name of that school down the road and our shocking aptitude to despise Coach K and all that he stands for, the students of UNC hold a level of respect for Duke University that can only be described as unique and singular.
