Faculty Council passes two amendments, reviews new HR system

Friday's Faculty Council meeting covered an array of topics  — including the University’s loan to the Northside neighborhood as well as increasing access to scholarly articles written by faculty — but the majority of the meeting was spent reviewing the new payroll system. There are ongoing software updates to fine-tune new payroll and HR systems that went live in October 2014.

Rally supports non-tenured faculty

Students, faculty and others rallied together on the steps of Wilson Library on Wednesday to call for a living wage, increased benefits and better working conditions for non-tenure-track professors.

Sexual assault module requirements baffle student employees

Video helps UNC family in need

A UNC employee said she’s been overwhelmed by the generosity that has followed since a Pennsylvania family took to social media to raise money for her sister who is battling cancer.
