Thomas Ross has been the president of the UNC-system since 2011. He graduated from Davidson and has a law degree from UNC-Chapel Hill. After working as a lawyer for a few years then becoming chief of staff for a US Congressman, Ross filled a position in the North Carolina Superior Court, where he served for 17 years. He was also chairman of the UNC-Greensboro Board of Trustees.
