The Courtyard by Marriott opened a new hotel in Chapel Hill on Wednesday, providing another option for area visitors.
The hotel, located at 100 Marriott Way, is across from the Friday Center and is about a mile from the University campus.
Elizabeth McGlasson, a public relations representative of the Courtyard, said the N.C. 54 location appeared financially promising after extensive economic and competitive analysis was done.
