North Carolina dominated N.C. Central Wednesday night, winning by a 89-42 score.
Marcus Ginyard and Deon Thompson paced UNC offensively, with 17 and 13 points, respectively. Tyler Zeller came off the bench to add 12 on a perfect 6-for-6 shooting night.
The Tar Heels also dogged the Eagles on defense. They held NCCU scoreless for an 8:20 period in the first half, in which they scored 21 in a row to turn a 19-17 game into a 40-17 rout.
UNC is now 2-0 for the fifth straight year.
