UNC defeats Duke, 19-6

Behind a career day from tailback Ryan Houston, North Carolina defeated rival Duke on homecoming weekend, 19-6.

Houston ran the ball 37 times for 164 yards, both career highs, as UNC won the rivalry contest for the 19th time in the last 20 years.

The UNC pass defense limited Duke to 113 yards in the air, more than 212 below Duke's season average. Entering the game, quarterback Thaddeus Lewis and the Blue Devils were the top passing team in the ACC.

Robert Quinn had three sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss, as UNC kept Duke out of the end zone.

Kicker Casey Barth was a perfect 4-for-4 on field goals, all of which were between 29 and 41 yards.
