A 19-year-old Duke University student was cited at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday at 100 S. Columbia St. for blocking the intersection of Franklin and Columbia streets, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Ciaran Justice O’Connor was issued a citation for dancing in the road and blocking traffic. He awaits a March 16 court date, reports state.

Someone stole a scooter between 10 p.m. Tuesday and 3 a.m. Wednesday at 306 Estes Drive Extension, according to Carrboro police reports.

Someone entered an apartment without permission, possibly by use of a key, between 7:50 a.m. and 8:55 p.m. Wednesday at 5639 Old Durham Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone stole jewelry from Womancraft Gifts at 1800 E. Franklin St. at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a silver bracelet with a Carolina blue inlay worth $129, reports state.

Someone broke a noise ordinance while in his 1971 Chevy Malibu at 11:09 p.m. Wednesday at the 100 block of East Franklin Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
