New funding source will help undergraduates

TO THE EDITOR:

On behalf of the Carolina Experience Enrichment Scholarship, we would like to announce a new source of funding for undergraduate and graduate students eager to leave their mark on the world: CEES Fellowships and Grants.

CEES Fellowships are funded entirely by students and selected by a diverse selection committee made up of faculty, students and at-large community members dedicated to higher education and helping students realize the Carolina experience.

This year, the committee will award two fellowships of $1,500 each to help students who have not yet studied abroad or worked as an unpaid intern. Preference is granted to nontraditional, Carolina Covenant, student-parent and transfer students, as well as applications accompanied by a grant application from a non-profit organization.
