Are you interested in meeting with Chancellor Holden Thorp each month to discuss pressing campus issues? Do you have a great proposal for the next installment of the Carolina Reading Program? How about ideas for campus safety, sustainability, our library system or academics?
Each year student government appoints more than 130 students to more than 50 committees across campus and the spring application process for seventeen of those committees has now opened.
Serving on an external committee provides myriad unique opportunities to engage with fellow students, faculty and administrators on a wide array of issues and chances are there is a committee (or several) that you would be a great candidate for.
The application, as well as descriptions of all open positions, is available at unc.edu/studgov. Applications are due by 5 p.m. April 19. We hope to be meeting you soon.
