The women’s tennis team concluded their record-breaking season Monday with a 4-0 loss to No. 3 seeded Florida in the NCAA Semifinals.
The Gators decisively defeated North Carolina first in doubles, and then in singles to advance to the finals of the NCAA against Stanford on Tuesday. They lost to the Cardinals 4-3.
Despite the loss, the Tar Heels still finished 30-5, breaking the school record and matching the ACC record for the most victories in a single season.
Now that the team season is over, Sanaz Marand and Katrina Tsang will represent UNC in the upcoming NCAA individuals events. Marand will also compete in doubles with teammate Sophie Grabinski.
