n A 42-year-old Durham man turned himself in for an outstanding warrant for assault on a female at 11 a.m. Monday at the Chapel Hill police department, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Darryn Maurice Dye was taken to Orange County Jail without bond, reports state.

— A 40-year-old Chapel Hill man was arrested for trespassing and sleeping at the University United Methodist Church at 1:45 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Kevin Aldean Royal listed his address as the Chapel Hill Community House. He was released by signing a written promise to appear in court, reports state.

— Someone stole a $15,000 rental Chevrolet Impala between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. Monday at 103 Louis Armstrong Court, according to Chapel Hill police reports.



— Someone entered a house through its back door and stole two $200 cell phones between 10:30 a.m. and 11:55 a.m. Monday at 401 Smith Ave., according to Chapel Hill police reports.

— Someone took a purse from an unlocked vehicle at 1:34 p.m. Sunday in University Square, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

The $30 purse contained a $10 wallet, a $45 cell phone, keys, a credit card, a social security card and a driver’s permit, reports state.

— Someone took $12.20 worth of food from Wendy’s without paying between 11 a.m. and 11:07 a.m. Sunday at 100 Scarlett Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

— Someone stole a $150 cell phone at 5:02 p.m. Sunday at 100 Library Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
