TO THE EDITOR:
Did you know that over one million dollars in student activity fees are overseen or directly allocated by Student Congress? That’s your money, which is why we are committed to being a legislative body that actually works for students.
So, if you’re a student, you don’t want to miss our general interest meeting on Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. in Peabody 08.
Members of Congress will be there to give you an idea of what we do and guide you through the funding process for student organizations.
We will also have information for anyone interested in running for one of the vacant seats.
In addition, Student Congress is currently recruiting several members of the Congressional staff, including a parliamentarian and a clerk. After the interest meeting, feel free to stay to observe Student Congress in action at our first meeting of the semester at 7:30 p.m.
