TO THE EDITOR:

CrossFit Local, located on Eubanks Road in Chapel Hill, will be hosting a fundraising event on Saturday, September 25, 2010 called Fight Gone Bad 5. CrossFit Local believes that people of all ages and levels of activity benefit from combining basic functional movements in varied ways to elicit greater fitness. At CrossFit Local we provide you with personal training, individual goals and a community of support.

Fight Gone Bad is a challenging workout designed to train you physically, mentally and emotionally. The event is being held to benefit three charities: LIVESTRONG, the Wounded Warrior Project and the CrossFit Foundation.

LIVESTRONG, founded by Lance Armstrong, identifies and acts on issues faced by cancer survivors to improve the lives of people affected by cancer, raise awareness, increase outreach and improve the cancer experience. The Wounded Warrior Project provides tangible support to meet the needs of severely injured service members and to help them heal. The CrossFit Foundation provides support and assistance to the CrossFit community, the men and women of the military, law enforcement and first responders as well as enhance quality of life and fitness of deserving families.
